Implementation of EU instruments and practices in national VET systems

Project aim
The main aim of the project is to enhance the exchange of experience, study of approaches and models for building up national systems for quality assurance, credit transfer, validation of non-formal and informal learning in VET and implementation of mechanisms for involvement and coordination of the responsible institutions and organizations.
The choice of the project title is in compliance with the strategic European priorities – improvement of attractiveness and adequacy of VET; building up flexible pathways for acquiring vocational qualification; promotion of mobility of trainees and trainers in VET etc.
Project partners
National Agency for Vocational Education and Training (NAVET) – Bulgaria
Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) – Germany
National Institute for Vocational Education and Training (CPI) – Slovenia
The choice of the partners institutions with similar scope of activities and forms of cooperation with the social partners will support the development of NAVET’s potential for carrying out its responsibilities with respect to implementation of European instruments in the field of VET at national level in the frames its functions defined in the law for the Vocational Education and Training
Participants in the project
The participants in the project are experts in NAVET, who work on: development and updating of the List of professions for vocational education and training; development and updating of the State Educational Requirements (standards) for acquiring vocational qualification in professions; licensing and control of Centres for vocational training and Centres for information and vocational guidance.
The particular needs of project users are related with exchange and systematization of information about successful practices connected with implementation of European instruments in the field of VET (European Credit System for VET, Quality Assurance Framework; Validation of non-formal and informal learning).
Duration of the project
The planned duration of the project is 12 months.
Planned mobility
The mobility will be carried out in two flows:
• first half of March 2012 – 5 beneficiaries for one week in Slovenia, Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training (CPI)
• second half of March 2012 – 5 beneficiaries for one week in Germany, Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB).
