The Managing Board of NAVET adopted updated Procedure for ex-post control of the vocational training centers at a meeting held on 20.02.2019.
Ex-post control in business activities of licensed CVTs is realized on the basis of VET ACT, Article 49v and also in accordance with the Law for reducing administrative regulation and administrative control by the business activity (Chapter 3).
NAVET executes control of the requirements of business activities, which CVTs are licensed for.
The ex-post control should be regular and periodical. Through the inspections officials by NAVET check conformity between training activities in CVTs and State educational standards, including:
– Providing quality vocational training courses
– Assurance of all resources required (material, human resources)
– Applying internal quality assurance system
– Reporting once a year to NAVET for training activities in previous year and quality self-assessment
The ex-post control is combination between several activities:
1. Collecting information by NAVET’s Informational System (the main ICT tool), on-site inspections in CVTs, check of documentation, interviewing trainees
2. Providing methodological support to CVTs according to improvement of training quality
3. Ensuring publicity and transparency of related findings

The main goals of the ex-post control are:
1. To ensure that requirements, assessed by the licensing process, are maintained
2. To identify strengths in CVTs work
3. To identify problems, gaps and areas for improvement
